Week 3: Simple Sentences & Questions
In Week 3, you'll learn how to form basic sentences and ask questions in Tāmorék. By combining vocabulary from previous lessons, you'll be able to hold simple conversations.
Lesson 1: Basic Sentence Structure
In Tāmorék, a simple sentence typically follows the Subject-Verb-Object (SVO) structure, similar to English.
- I eat bread. → Nāmo hāto lākē.
- She sees the ocean. → Hōna vēna vālu.
Lesson 2: Yes/No Questions
To form yes/no questions, use rising intonation at the end of the sentence or add "faro" (meaning "question").
- Do you eat bread? → Tāka hāto lākē?
- Is the ocean beautiful? → Vālu māro fēt faro?
Lesson 3: Information Questions
Use question words to gather specific information.
- What - Tāmo
- Where - Nēta
- Who - Hāna
- Why - Fāro
- How - Kēta
Examples:
- What is your name? → Tāmo kēta?
- Where is the sun? → Nēta rāmo?
